The Lost World Crystal Cave Exploration puts you up close and personal with unique cave formations and the phenomenon of crystal caves which have formed over centuries. This adventure offers a bedazzling thrill for the explorer in you.
To get underground, you first have to hike through rich tropical rainforest at our Jaguar Paw Adventure Outpost. You then descend down below the surface of the earth to Xibalba the sacred world of caves. Your guide will lead you through a short narrow tunnel that opens into a large underground chamber. Here you will begin to explore the mystery of caves and the Maya ritual ceremonies. Then its time to get on your tubes and meander through the cool waters of these Maya caverns. Crystal-encrusted cave formations abound everywhere, but this is just a taste of whats to come.
Your cave guide will lead you floating into a Gothic chamber to explore hidden pottery dating back to 300-900 AD, believed to be used in ancient Maya sacrificial ceremonies. Then its time to get off your tubes and make your way through a tiny passage where you emerge in front of a frozen waterfall column and glittering rim stone dams.

This tour is not for persons with disabilities, heart conditions, back or leg problems. All guests must be in good physical condition and able to walk on a jungle trail for approximately 35 minutes. This tour is not suitable for pregnant women. Helmets, lights and life jackets are provided and are mandatory.
